NANAO is the name of the city in Ishikawa prefecture where Takazawa Candle is established. It is located in the heart of the glorious countryside and surrounded by the sea and mountains, making it easy to connect with nature.
These candles are perfect to use for any dining situations or relaxing moments as their burning duration can be up to 130 minutes! They are all made from sumac wax with all natural ingredients and materials making them not only beautiful but very eco-friendly.
Five different shapes included in a box set, each with a motif inspired by a different plant that grows in the Noto Peninsula.
Takazawa Candle continues making efforts to protect the natural environment of the trees they cultivate and to preserve the autumn scenery filled with red-coloured leaves while producing these traditional Japanese wax candles.
Depending on the soil of the Haze tree cultivation area, and the year of wax accumulation, Takazawa Candles result in a variety of soft colours. The beautiful white powder appearing on the surface of each candle is a reliable proof of the natural material contained within.
