Rakuen incense produced by Yamadamatsu offers a sophisticated aroma inspired by the flowers and traditions that colour the beautiful four seasons of Japan; spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Shouyou (昭陽) represents winter. It is a woody, sweet and elegant scent that utilizes the goodness of rare aloeswood (also known as jinkoh, agarwood or eaglewood) from the deep forest. It delivers a mellow and deep aroma while filling the atmosphere with gentle warmth. If you already enjoy Tenjyo Kyara aloeswood (agarwood) incense, this would be an excellent choice to add to your incense collection.

Since the incense coil burns for a long time (about 1.5 hours), it is best used in a spot with good airflow, such as an entryway or large room.

Aloeswood
Also known as jin-koh, agarwood, oud, and eaglewood. Aloeswood presents a complex, visionary aroma like nothing else on earth. It is a resinous, richly-scented wood found inside the remains of an expired Aquilaria tree. Its wondrous scent is the result of a little-understood decomposition process.
Many compare their first experience with aloeswood / agarwood formulations to noticing luminous new colours in a rainbow, or to hearing a beautiful chord in an exotic tune. It can provide a powerful moment of sensory fulfillment to be forever remembered.
