This incense is generously blended with essential oil and finely ground wood powder from Aomori Hiba cypress, nurtured in the rich natural environment of Aomori Prefecture.
Long valued in Japan for both architecture and medicinal uses, Aomori Hiba is one of the country’s most treasured aromatic woods. Its essential oil carries a refreshing clarity reminiscent of forest bathing, along with a gentle warmth that feels quietly embracing. The distinctive, deep fragrance of Hiba brings a sense of calm and purity to a space, softly settling the mind.
For centuries, trees have accompanied human life, offering comfort and healing to body and mind. Among their gifts, scent speaks quietly yet profoundly to our senses. This incense is crafted from rare tree essential oils, natural wood powders, and precious resins that can only be harvested in limited quantities. No artificial fragrances are used — only the pure, natural aroma of the Japanese forest itself. The result is a completely new type of incense that evokes the feeling of being surrounded by nature.
We carefully knead essential oil and finely selected wood powder from Kiso Hinoki (Japanese cypress), nurtured in the vast, pristine nature of Nagano Prefecture. Kiso Hinoki, one of the legendary “Kiso Five Trees” preserved for over a thousand years, has long captivated people with its beauty and rich fragrance.
*The incense sticks come beautifully wrapped in a white paper carefully stored in a kiri (paulownia) wood box that is perfect for storage.
