Created in collaboration with ITSUMO and ceramic artist Mao Eto, this incense holder is carefully handcrafted to resemble a natural pebble.
Inspired by the quiet beauty of stones — their organic shapes, colours, and textures — the piece brings a subtle, almost spiritual presence into everyday life. Both in appearance and touch, it feels much like a real pebble.
Each piece is handmade, so variations in shape and colour naturally occur, and no two are exactly alike. Items are selected at random.
[Mao Eto]
Mao Eto is a ceramic artist, currently living in Tokushima, Japan. She's inspired by objects that appear to have no specific practical purpose in everyday life, yet hold a quiet, mysterious charm. Her work explores the positive thoughts and subtle emotions that objects can evoke in people.
Born in Kanagawa, Japan.
Graduated from the Ceramics Program, Department of Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tama Art University.
