Made from 100% linen, this versatile cloth is beautifully crafted using traditional Japanese kaya (mosquito net) textile by Okai Mafu in Nara. Founded in 1863, Okai Mafu is a fifth-generation, family-run maker, preserving time-honored techniques rooted in the region’s long history of Nara Sarashi—finely crafted hemp textiles.
Soft yet durable, this cloth offers an eco-friendly alternative to disposable paper towels. Use it dry or damp for wiping, washing, and everyday cleaning—it’s a true “magic cloth” for the home. Linen fibers are longer than cotton, making the fabric less prone to lint and ideal for polishing dishes or quickly removing moisture from surfaces.
Highly absorbent—up to four times more than cotton—and exceptionally strong, it also dries quickly, helping it stay clean and naturally hygienic.
Start using it in the kitchen as a dishcloth or in the bath as a washcloth, and over time it softens further, becoming a perfect dust cloth for keeping your home effortlessly clean.
*Before using, please rinse off the starch with hot or cold water. Avoid using chlorine bleach.
