Perfect for coffee—especially a cortado or cappuccino—and tea, this versatile cup is also lovely for sake or any beverage you enjoy sipping. It can also be used to serve ice cream or small side dishes.
Designed for everyday use, it works beautifully for soups and other light dishes. It also makes a lovely soba choko—a traditional Japanese cup used for dipping soba noodles in tsuyu sauce.
Beyond the table, it can also be used as a small bowl for incense ash.
This series was produced in collaboration with an old-established glassware maker Kimura Glass for a line of porcelain products simply named “Dishes”. Created with great consideration to the slight change in the angle and size of the rim’s rise, it can assist various expressions in the prepared dishes.
The completely flat bottom and uniform thinness of the porcelain creates an elegant and modern shape with a variety of useful functions.
