A celadon incense burner in softly glazed pale blue porcelain.
Traditionally used as a monkōro — a vessel for the quiet practice of listening to incense — this piece is crafted from white porcelain finished with a transparent glaze and kiln-fired into a delicate bluish-white celadon. Its subtle tone and gentle presence evoke a sense of calm refinement.
Designed for both traditional monkō and everyday use, it may also be used for burning coil or stick incense. Simply fill the vessel about 80% full with incense ash, then place the lit incense softly on top.
The understated beauty of the porcelain, with its faint wash of blue, brings a quiet elegance to any space.
