This round colander/basket is beautifully handcrafted using only the fingertips. Commonly known as a tray to serve cold noodles such as soba or udon, this item can be used in a variety of ways, such as instead of a plate to serve edamame, snacks, tempura, fruits and side dishes, etc.
It is lightweight, yet, very sturdy. Recommended to use not only as a plate to serve food but also as a strainer/colander to wash vegetables, fruits or herbs. Bamboo baskets are simple yet elegant, practical tools for daily life. Whatever shape or size, it can be used for more than you might think around home. It has a unique appeal that metal or plastic utensils just don't have. As it ages, green bamboo will gradually turn into deep yellow/brown, and gain a glossy finish. Bamboo is a material that becomes more beautiful over time and use.
Each basket is handmade by skilled craftsmen, using natural materials. There may be slight variations in colour, texture, or shape as a result, and the basket you receive may not be exactly as pictured.
