This plate has a unique design with the side handles, making it effortless to pick up, pass around and to serve from the kitchen over to a dining table, patio, or wherever you want to deliver to.
One plate’s expression can make a difference on how we experience at the table, both visually and subconsciously. The unique shape of these bon voyage plates adds a touch of personality, while making the simple ingredients look much more special on the usual table landscape. Surprisingly, the shape is easy to use for serving any dishes such as pasta, salad, fruits or desserts.
“Bring it with you on a journey. Bring back your memories…”
We absolutely love this little thought hidden behind the “bon voyage” tableware collection designed by Yumiko Iihoshi Porcelain.
The concept of this series of porcelain plates is based on tableware that you can bring with you on a journey, making you feel at home in any situation. Whether the journey itself means a physical traveling or more of a conceptual expedition…, upon return, the collected memories on the vessel will remain close to you…
Now, why not create your own journey with these Bon Voyage plates.

YUMIKO IIHOSHI PORCELAIN
Tokyo, Japan
* * *
Yumiko’s concept is to create a design that is on the boundary between handmade and conventionally manufactured products.
After graduating from Kyoto Saga University of Arts, studying a Porcelain major, Yumiko started her own porcelain collection under her own name. She designs and oversees the manufacture of porcelain tableware which combines the use of molds for uniformity, with hand glazing by artisans, to ensure each piece has a sense of individuality. Each ceramic glaze and shape is unique and original, taking inspiration from the functionality and pure sense of a vessel.
“It is not something that every single claim is too apparent. I thought that it would be nice to have warmth in design, but not argue too much.”
The aesthetic forms and unique palettes are infused with a sense of nostalgia, inspiring us to reflect and reminisce about time while using it in our daily lives.
All products are crafted in Japan.
