This plate is designed with the image in mind of serving your guests and saying, Bon Appétit! Enjoy your meal.

The rise on both sides makes the ingredients in the center shine, and you can feel free to pile your servings high and generous. It is a versatile shape that can be used for main courses, side dishes, desserts or fruits. The matte glaze gives the surface texture a smooth and tactile feel. Each piece is finished by hand, so there will be individual expressions through shades of colour and unevenness that is part of its beauty.

  • Small: Suitable for desserts, fruits, or as serving plates.
  • Medium: Recommended to serve the medium size portion of main or side dishes. Also get for desserts such as strawberry shortcake!
  • Large: Excellent for large portion of main or side dishes. Great for curry rice, egg omelette, or grilled fish, etc.

*Due to the nature of this glaze, scratch lines may appear on the surface if rubbed strongly against metal, so it is not recommended to wash with harsh metal tools or scrubbing steel.

Yumiko’s concept is to create a design that is on the boundary between handmade and conventionally manufactured products.

After graduating from Kyoto Saga University of Arts, studying a Porcelain major, Yumiko started her own porcelain collection under her own name.  She designs and oversees the manufacture of porcelain tableware which combines the use of molds for uniformity, with hand glazing by artisans, to ensure each piece has a sense of individuality.  Each ceramic glaze and shape is unique and original, taking inspiration from the functionality and pure sense of a vessel.

“It is not something that every single claim is too apparent. I thought that it would be nice to have warmth in design, but not argue too much.”

The aesthetic forms and unique palettes are infused with a sense of nostalgia, inspiring us to reflect and reminisce about time while using it in our daily lives.

All products are crafted in Japan.
