Tenugui is a Japanese textile made from thin cotton cloth, rich in design and traditionally used for a multitude of purposes.
These Tenugui are produced by one of the oldest dye shops in Japan, screen printing Tenugui since 1895 using consistent and traditional dyeing techniques.
The textile is most commonly used for any purpose an everyday towel or cloth might be desirable. The Tenugui can replace a washcloth, dishcloth, tablecloth or, due to its simplicity and unique beauty, exclusively for decorative purposes, as a headband, scarf or even for wrapping gifts, bottles, boxes or even food supplies on the go.
As it is produced using 100% rugged cotton, the Tenugui washes easily and dries quickly.

Traditional dyeing technique may cause colour to run upon initial wash.
Machine/hand wash separately in cold water.
Do not bleach.
Avoid soaking.
Dry in shade.
It is the traditional characteristic of Tenugui for the raw edge to be left unfinished.
Fabric fraying will gradually lessen over several wash cycles.
