A sense of colour is a lifetime treasure.
Gekkoso is an art supply store in Ginza Japan founded in 1917.
They produce their own original painting materials and stationery carefully made by craftsmen.
Ever since the opening of the store, their high quality art supplies have been loved and supported by people looking for the pure beauty of colour and the touch of the genuine article.
Beautiful shop name Gekkoso means “Moonlight” in Japanese. It comes from a poem gifted to the shop by the famous husband and wife poets Tekkan and Akiko Yosano,
“You walked by from the moon in the sky, shining day and night.”
