Handcrafted in Nagano prefecture, only using the sustainable Japanese Cypress (Hinoki) wood grown in Japan, this is a traditional Japanese bath stool in an elegant form.
With a refreshing scent, Hinoki is naturally antibacterial and its resins make it resistant to mould and mildew and ideal for use in wet or damp spaces. Hinoki bath bowls can also become a beautiful caddy for storing soaps and shampoo in a bathroom.
A set of Hinoki bath accessories will enhance a simple bath time with mindfulness.
Hinoki wood (Japanese Cypress) repeats expansion and contraction every time it absorbs moisture or dries.
Please avoid leaving it in water for a long time or in excessive direct sunlight as it may cause cracks due to warping or shrinkage.
Hinoki is naturally antibacterial and has a refreshing scent. Its natural resins make it resistant to mould and mildew, and ideal for use in wet or damp spaces.
After every use, it is recommended to rinse off water well, wipe off moisture with a dry cloth, and place it upside down or lean it against the wall.
If mould starts growing, please scrape with a Tawashi scrub brush or sandpaper.
When the bowl is exposed to direct sunlight for a long time, or when it hasn’t been used a while, the copper ring that wraps around the surface of the bowl may come off due to drying. You can move the copper ring to its original position, then fill the bowl with lots of water for a while as the moisture helps the wood expand again.
