Hime, a Japanese word for “princess,” is also used to describe something precious and small. Distinctively fascinating, these unique Hime Forks (available as a set of 5) are made from silver plated brass, perfect for use with a cheese plate, fruits or other little confections.
The silver plating offers a protective coating to the brass, helping to prevent an otherwise naturally occurring oxidation. Like a small piece of jewelry on your plate, Hime Forks will add a touch of elegance for your favourite teatime or dining experience.
After use, hand-wash well and wipe off moisture.
With age, the silver colour will turn to a deeper tone and develop a patina with use.
To polish, put a small amount of toothpaste, with no granules or salt, on a cotton cloth. Gently wipe. This will bring back much of the original colour.
