The beauty of glass lies in its transparency. Azmaya created a glass material with a completely new composition for this cup, creating a cup with a unique texture that looks like scooping water into a shape.
These glass cups are made with a technique called “hand blowing”, in which craftsmen breathe in and mold the shape. The glass material that melts through the scorching flame captures the breath of a person and takes shape. The cup, which is the fruit of that momentary miracle, has a personality and a warm expression that machines cannot imitate. Since these glasses are shaped without a casting mold, the entire surface is smooth to the touch and each one is unique which cannot be duplicated.
The subtle horizontal lines on the surface occurred at the finishing stage of molding are almost invisible, however, the unique beauty of hand-blown glass become apparent when the light hits on it, creating the most amazing shadow. Enjoy it any time of the day for water, freshly squeezed juice, or casual wine at night.
Please note that due to its handcrafted quality you will find slight differences in size and balance.
