Daiyo 性è
Since 1914,  Shiga prefecture, Japan
Always mindful of the close-knit relationship humans have with flame, Daiyo creates slow burning Japanese candles that are meant to act as gentle companions to any home scenario, illuminating a room in a way that electrical lights never could.
âFrom monologue to dialogueâ is a principle theme at Daiyo, as the light of a candle flame effortlessly emanates compelling emotions, with the power to create new relationships all around it.
Â
Daiyo was established in the Takashima county of Shiga Prefecture in 1914, and their principles of candle making have been steadily passed down for over a century and through four generations. Situated near the largest lake in Japan, Lake Biwa, Daiyo candle makers have always had a close relationship to the blessings of nature and have consistently made their candles from 100% natural plant wax, a local and sustainable resource that does not produce smoke and is virtually odorless.
The use of this material makes Japanese candles the most ideal option for in-home use, with a beautiful large flame which, when extinguished, creates less soot and odor than conventional western candles.
Perfect for a cozy family meal, a relaxing warm bath, or just for a moment of meditation at the end of a long day.
